WorkCue ("we", "us") provides the WorkCue app as a commercial service. This page explains what data we collect, why, how it's stored, and the choices you have.
What data we collect
Account data
Your email address and name, collected when you sign up or sign in (including via Google or Apple Sign-In).
Content you create
Work items, projects, descriptions, notes, due dates, priorities, statuses, comments, and any custom fields you enter.
Sharing data
Email addresses of people you share items or projects with, so we can grant them access.
Usage & diagnostics
Standard technical data such as device type, app version, and crash reports, used to keep the app reliable.
Subscription & payment data
When you subscribe to WorkCue Pro, we store your subscription status (Free or Pro) on your account. Payment itself is handled by our payment provider — we do not store your full card number. We retain a record of each purchase (checkout and order identifiers, the plan purchased, amount, currency, and timestamps) to manage your subscription, handle renewals and cancellations, and reconcile payments. For anonymous checkouts we may associate the purchase with your email address as entered on the checkout page.
Why it's collected
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To provide the work management features — storing, syncing, and sharing your items and projects.
- To send notifications and emails about activity on your work.
- To process subscriptions and recurring payments, manage your plan, and handle cancellations or refunds.
- To monitor, maintain, and improve the app's performance and reliability.
How it's stored
Your data is stored securely on our hosting provider's cloud infrastructure and encrypted in transit using TLS. Access is restricted to authorized systems and personnel acting on our behalf.
Third-party services
- Hosting & backend: Base44, our app platform.
- Authentication: Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In (optional).
- Email delivery: a transactional email service for notifications and support replies.
- Payments & subscriptions: our payment provider (Wix Payments, branded as Base44 Payments) handles checkout, card processing, billing, and subscription management.
These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services and under their own privacy and security commitments.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your rights & requesting deletion
You can request export, correction, or deletion of your data at any time. To delete your account and associated data, email us at the address below and we'll process your request promptly.
Children's privacy
WorkCue is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
